Under this year's nationwide motto "Building Diversity," the Architectouren 2025 showcases the impressive range of creative ideas and solutions developed by Bavarian planners, highlighting the diversity of high-quality architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban planning. The Bavarian Chamber of Architects also highlights projects with sustainable concepts with its nationwide award for Climate Culture Competence.

On June 28 and 29, 2025, 197 outstanding projects across Bavaria will open their doors, offering visitors insights into innovative and design-rich spaces in both the public and private sectors. An advisory board composed of experts from various architectural disciplines selected 197 projects from several hundred submissions. These projects represent a high-quality cross-section of current planning culture—including many projects that are not otherwise accessible to the public. The two-day event, which takes place as part of the nationwide Architecture Day, offers not only extraordinary insights but also the opportunity for encounters and discussions about the development process of the projects: architects from all disciplines, clients, and users will be on site. Information on the 197 projects and their respective viewing times can be found at byak.de/architektouren and in the accompanying booklet.

For the third time, participants had the opportunity to demonstrate the ClimateCultureCompetence of their projects. Five sustainability criteria were surveyed and assessed: energy efficiency, climate adaptation, space conservation, accessibility, and other aspects of sustainability. Which projects have earned the ClimateCultureCompetence award can be found on the website of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and in the booklet. 88 projects received a total of 120 awards – more than ever before.

The President of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, Prof. Lydia Haack, praises the trend of more projects being recognized each year: "This impressively demonstrates that our profession is taking responsibility. Architects of all disciplines are actively committed to advancing the construction revolution—toward planning and construction that conserves resources, protects the climate, and is also convincing in terms of design. Making these projects visible is a central concern of the Architectouren."
