Future of Work - A Health-Medical Perspective
"Man does not live by bread alone"
The lecture builds a bridge from work as a necessity for earning a living and surviving to work as a meaningful, creative activity that increases quality of life. The focus is on the seemingly contradictory qualities of work as something that makes us ill and something that promotes our health. It shows how work should be designed in the future so that stressors that make us ill can be reduced and factors that promote health can be specifically promoted.
