"Lichtenfelser Perlentauchen" – The Kick-off
To launch the new conversation series "Lichtenfelser Perlentauchen" (Lichtenfels Pearl Diving), host Markus Häggberg welcomed two fascinating local figures whose paths could hardly be more different—yet who share something crucial: the courage to pursue an idea of their own and turn it into something special.
Michael Murphy, now widely known as the "Candle Guy"—embodies an entrepreneurial spirit infused with a great deal of personality. An idea evolved into a project with a distinctive signature style, and the man behind it became a brand consciously linked to his own identity and story. But how does something like that come about? How much courage does it take to strike out on an unconventional path, and what does it feel like when a small initial idea suddenly transforms into something that inspires others?
Aileen Grosch, from "Wilde Wurzeln" (Wild Roots), was the second extraordinary guest. The very name of her project speaks of a deep connection to nature, authenticity, and the desire to forge one’s own path. Her story demonstrates how personal convictions, passion, and an idea can blossom into a true labor of love—and how entrepreneurship can mean so much more than just business plans, sales figures, and economic success.
